This was the exciting challenge posed to us by Simon Scohier, director of Active Life in Charleroi. His observation was clear: his customers were increasingly demanding products that were respectful of their health AND the environment. But the market was already overflowing with unattractive organic products or vegan supplements with questionable aesthetics.
Our mission? To create a range of vegan and organic products that are as appealing for their effectiveness as for their design, while respecting the brand's sustainability values.
The strategy: understand before creating
Market research – what conscious athletes really want
Before designing any packaging, we conducted in-depth research to understand consumers' real expectations. The results revealed an interesting paradox: athletes were willing to pay more for ethical products, but refused to compromise on effectiveness or aesthetics.
This insight guided our entire branding strategy. We needed to create products that respected ethical and environmental principles without sacrificing visual appeal or the perception of performance. The challenge was significant: reconciling ecological authenticity and sporting desirability.
Packaging design – kraft as a visual signature
Why Kraft paper was the obvious choice
To embody this philosophy, we opted for high-quality Kraft paper packaging. This choice was not just aesthetic: it reflects a genuine commitment to sustainability while conveying a message of going back to basics and natural simplicity.
Kraft paper has the advantage of being both environmentally friendly and durable, essential qualities for products intended for an active audience. This material immediately evokes authenticity and artisanal quality, values particularly sought after by today's conscious consumers.
Color palette – earth as inspiration
The visual identity is built around earthy colors that naturally evoke a healthy lifestyle connected to nature. These warm and reassuring hues deliberately contrast with the garish visual codes often used in the world of dietary supplements.
The clean patterns and modern typography create a perfect balance between naturalness and sporty dynamism. Each graphic element communicates the brand's promise: performance and respect for the environment are not incompatible; they reinforce each other.
